It looks like the BJP in Telangana has decided to go all alone in the next general elections in the state. They are claiming that the BJP would come to power in the state, which is impossible.
The allegations made by the BJP Chief Amit Shah at Warangal suggests that. While the PM in his earlier tour praised the CM of TS, here Amit Shah talked about corruption and made allegations that TRS and CM KCR was afraid of MIM and its leader Owaisi. Perhaps this is first time that the BJP chose to talk against TRS. This in fact came as a surprise to the TRS top rung leaders and also the cadres.
When the TRS leaders and PM met here in Hyderabad and praised each other there was speculation that Kavitha the MP would join the central cabinet and there could be an alliance between the BJP and the TRS for the next election. But the way the BJP Chief reacted here shows that the BJP wants to fill the vacuum created by other political parties and the MLAs have joined the TRS in big numbers. There is lot of space for the opposition here in TS.
Reacting to Shah’s allegations of the Telangana Chief Minister not celebrating the Hyderabad Liberation Day fearing threats by MIM leader Asaduddin, Minister Harish Rao said it is better for the BJP Chief Shah to study Hyderabad state’s history of communal harmony before making such sweeping remarks.
He also wanted to know how many times the Congress and TD-BJP combine governments had celebrated Hyderabad Liberation Day officially in the past few decades.
Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi Chief Kavitha demanded Shah give details of the Rs 90,000 crore that he was talking about in Warangal.
She said that the BJP leader is known for distorting facts and figures and demanded a statement to clarify what the additional assistance given by the Centre to Telang-ana over and above the state’s entitlements.
But the CM KCR chose to keep quite and not react to the allegations made by the BJP chief. When the entire population was of the opinion that there is no corruption in TS, Amit Shah made allegations of corruption. This is surprising. May be the CM will make it clear at the right and opportune time in the near future.
