There should be no scope for corruption and that the permissions should be given legally and on a transparent basis said the Minister for Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao.
He was talking to the Municipal commissioners and town planning staff here. He said that social media should be used to create awareness among the public for taking the Municipal permissions.
He said that the erring staff would be taken task by the Government and there need not be a doubt about it. He said that the new Municipal ac will pave way for taking action against the erring officers in the Municipalities.
The newly-elected lawmakers for the local bodies and also the Municipalities should observe utmost simplicity and also transparency he suggested.
He said that the people must be happy with the new act and that they must get the permissions online in the stipulated time. The online application for the permissions should also become easy and must be given in the 21 days time stipulated by the Government.
Minister KTR, on the other hand, is taking keen interest to see that the people get permission without giving any bribes. A corruption-free system should be in place and the people must appreciate this he said.
