Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao will meetwith the district collectors on Tuesday at Pragathi Bhavan.

The main agenda behind this meeting is to impress upon the collectors to bring in maximum transparency into the system and to see that there will be no corruption. Revenue and Municipal departments were found to be the areas where there is rampant corruption and the Chief Minister wants to see that it is eradicated at any cost.

That is the reason the new acts are being brought in and the collectors would deal with the situation at the district level and see that there is no corruption in the revenue and municipal departments.

The meeting will start at 11.30 AM to which ministers were invited. Against the the backdrop of bringing in a new Revenue Act, the Chief Minister wants to take the views, opinions and suggestions from the district collectors, who have direct experience about land management at the ground level.

In this proposed meeting, detailed and comprehensive discussions will be held on how to formulate guidelines for the new Revenue Act so that people and farmers will have no problems and there is no room for any corruption.

The CM has decided to take opinion from the collectors based on their experiences at the field level and their suggestions to the new Act. Instructions have also been issued to the Collectors to come prepared to give their opinion and suggestions and be part of the discussions.

The meeting will also discuss the implementation of the new Panchayat Raj and Municipal Act. In addition, the proposed meeting will also deliberate on the proposed 60-day Action plan to be implemented in the villages and towns.

Since there is a need to discuss these three issues in-depth, the meeting may extend for two days.
