Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra, held a Traffic road safety review meeting with officials of the traffic wing with regard to traffic issues and road safety.
The Commissioner, who enquired about the traffic issues being faced, asked officials to co-ordinate with officials.
Issues related to Water logging points, Junction developments, Traffic Jams, Traffic congestion s, Prevention of road accidents, non-fatal accidents review, Traffic Volunteers, Road Safety, Proposed trauma centres along NH, Traffic awareness, traffic engineering and works, Inadequate illumination, Rumble strips, road markings, junction improvements, sign boards, blackspots, U turn, footpaths, foot over bridges, drainage and water leakage were discussed.
CP cautioned and said be alert and prepared for the rains. Assured the traffic staff that the L&O officers also assist when they need any help. Instructed Traffic officers to serve notices to the persons who carelessly dump debris on public roads.
During the meeting, the current safety scenario on the roads in the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits was presented and the identified road accidents Blackspots were brought to the knowledge of the officials.
While discussing the causes for accidents at various accident Blackspots, it was decided to conduct joint inspections of them and take engineering measures to prevent further accidents at the same spots. CP instructed to conduct frequent Drunken and driving checking and more particular enforcement on violations which may cause Fatal and Non-fatal accidents.
CP stressed on the need for co-ordinated efforts by all the stake holding departments to reduce fatalities and injuries on roads in Cyberabad.
It was decided that in the next meeting Inspectors should project the most accidents prone areas and remedial measures for better results in road safety.
In the last, CP rewarded PSIOC PC Saibaba, Raidurgam Traffic WPC E Anusha, and Rajendranagar Traffic PS Homeguard Yelliah with rewards for their good performance in duties.
