In view of ensuring road safety, Cyberabad Traffic Police have launched a regular checking during night hours in Madhapur Zone to curb dangerous activities of trucks carrying construction and demolition debris.
There have been regular public complaints on this issues. Lot of such trucks move on all roads in Madhapur, Narsingi, Gachibowli, Raidurgam, Miyapur, Kukatpalli, Kokapet areas during night time with improper, unsafe backdoors; over loading; rash driving; without number plates; etc causing inconvenience and fear among other road users and general public.
To curb this unruly behavior among the truck drivers and the owners, Cyberabad Traffic Police has taken up certain measures:
Conducting awareness programmes to the truck drivers and owners.
Three such programmes have been conducted till now involving hundreds of drivers and owners.
Regular counselling and training of truck drivers at Traffic Training Institute, Cyberabad on traffic rules, driving sense, etc.
Strict enforcement of traffic rules:
Every day checking are being made and cases are booked for dangerous driving, excessive/unnecessary honking, without number plate, over speeding, without Driving License / Insurance, Drunken Drive etc.
1.Many trucks which are in unsafe condition are also being detained and sent to RTO for necessary action.
2.Cyberabad Traffic Police advises public / construction agencies to follow the C & D waste transportation policy of GHMC for lawful and safe transportation of such wastes.
3.Also, criminal cases would be registered against persons who try to during C & D wastes illegally on public roads or other public places.
