The second phase of the ongoing Telangana Premier kabaddi tournament will get underway at the Ambedkar indoor stadium, Karimnagar this evening. This phase is pretty important for the local team Karimnagar Kings, who are still in the race of making it to the last four.
Kings missed the services of Gouri Shankar in the last three matches at Warangal. And if he is back it will be a great advantage for them as he can be pretty supportive to the captain Mallesh Gangadhari, who is in tremendous form.
Unfortunately couple of decisions went against Karimnagar at the important juncture when they looked like scoring big margin wins. Mallesh has to be at his best today, if the local team are hoping for semis berth. They of course will have the crowd support here.
In the first match of the day Rangareddy Raiders, who are already in semifinals will take on Gadwal Gladiators. If Rangareddy wins they will be topping the table and it will release a bit of pressure on Karimnagar when they face Siddipet Stallions in the second one.
Selvamani, Mallikarjun and Supriyo have been superb so far in raiding and the spectators here will be waiting for some wonderful action. The meet is organised by Chintala Sports Pvt Ltd.
