The Chairman of TOMCOM Sri Ch.Malla Reddy Garu, Hon’ble Minister for Labour & Employment, Factories & Skill Development, Government of Telangana presided the 23rd meeting of Board of Directors Meeting of TOMCOM on 27.03.2023 at BRK Bhavan, Hyderabad. The meeting was attended by Smt.I.Rani Kumudini, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to Government, LET&F Department, Sri Dr. Jitender (IPS) Principal Secretary Home, Dr. Vishnuvardhan Reddy (IFS), CEO TOMCOM, Sri Dasari Balaiah, Regional Passport Officer, Hyderabad, Sri. G Giribabu, Deputy Director Technical Education, and other senior officials of TOMCOM.
During the Meeting, the Hon’ble Minister reviewed various activities conducted by TOMCOM for training and placement of skilled and semi-skilled workers from Telangana in various countries.
In order to take advantage of the growing demand for skilled professionals including IT graduates, engineers, healthcare workers in developed countries such as USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Japan etc., the board permitted TOMCOM to sign (7) MoUs with various partner agencies this includes partnership with National Academy of Construction (NAC), National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM) and National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) as well as with Department of Employment and Immigration, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
TOMCOM was also instructed to conduct orientation programmes on overseas opportunities in sectors like IT, Management and Engineering in different colleges of our state with special focus on women colleges.
