Wishing K Taraka Rama Rao, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and Minister for IT, on his birthday, his followers and well-wishers are ‘gifting smiles’ to those in need, with the #GiftASmile challenge. KTR is also the son of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and is celebrating his 44th birthday today.
KTR tweeted, “Last year, on the eve of my birthday, I had personally donated 6 ambulances, and our TRS MLAs, MPs joined in taking the total number to 90. This year too, decided that the best way to celebrate is to #GiftASmile in a personal capacity to 100 differently-abled with custom-made vehicles.”
KTR also suggested, kindly plant a sapling if you can as part of #MukkotiVruksharchana or #GiftASmile in your own personal way by helping someone in need. Please don’t splurge money on bouquets, cakes, and hoardings.”
Meanwhile, wishes from several legislators, celebrities and common people have been pouring in for the politician.
Singer Rahul Sipligunj, Bigg Boss 3 winner, has also made a special song as a tribute for KTR on his birthday.
Blood donation programs are going on across the state in the name of KTR.
All arrangements have been made for the plantation of around 3.3 crore saplings as part of the Mukkoti Vriksharchana programme to be conducted on Saturday, on the occasion of Rama Rao’s birthday, informed Santosh Kumar the MP and founder of Green India Challenge.
