AIMIM headed by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisis is also worried about the low turn out of voters this time in the old city. This time the voting pattern was different for the MIM.
In every election the Muslims voted overwhelmingly for Owaisis but this time until 5 pm it was just 30 percent even in the old city. The muslim did not bother to come and vote.
But in the last one hour there were no voters on the streets but the polling crossed 40 percent in the end. The BJP and the Congress made allegations and also filed complaints that the MIM workers captured the booths and rigged by driving away the agents of other parties.
The BJP workers were beaten black and blue in Shekpet and the police arrested non the MIM but the BJP workers who were beaten and later admitted to the hospital.
The Police even cooperated for rigging in some booths it is alleged by the BJp workers from Shekpet and also Ghansi Bazar. The police did not entertain complaints from the BJP.
The workers distributing money by the political parties were handed over to the police, but they were not booked by the police in the old city. It is charged that the Police were taking the instructions from the ruling party and also the MIM MLAs in all the booths.
Even then the MIM leaders are worried about the outcome of the GHMC poll. They are expecting around 40 seats.
