MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha responded to the Budget tabled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. She asked the BJP Government at the Centre, ‘why is their no equitable dissemination of the funds state wise?’
She further added, that Telangana and a few other states that are either not BJP ruling states or are not poll bound find no mention in the budget and that everybody now understands this pattern of the Government.
Former Member of Parliament further added that if Government wants sabka sath then why does it not believe in keeping each state at an equal footing.
Daughter of Telangana CM added that she’s happy that Karnataka’s Upper Bhadra project received ₹5300 crores from the Union, but asked the Government why Telangana’s Mission Bhagiratha despite recommendations from Niti Aayog was not considered for any investment.
Kavitha added that no concrete steps have been taken to protect and empower MSMEs on the whole which is the need of the hour and a strong economy when not even 1 lakh crores were released for MSMES across the nation. She said, “I strongly believe MSMEs are the backbone of the nation that produce highest employment generation yet they have been neglected for years and years, and nothing has been done for them.”
Kavitha further said that the TRS Government has been persistent seeking a centre’s nod to work on SEZs, airports and several zones but Centre has no response to it.
Kavitha also said that “This budget is a mathematical calculation that confirms the failures of Modi Govt “, she further said that the budget lacks direction, reflects on no concrete vision of the BJP Government
Responding to the Union Government’s investment towards infrastructure, Kavitha said that “ TRS (Now BRS) Government invested 80,000 crores in river project, Union Government did not even contribute for 1% so what investment in infrastructure is the Government talking about? “
Kavitha further said that the Government cannot be trusted, they have kept no promises so far.
