As per Hindu culture Karthika month is known as a favourite one both for Shiva and Keshava, besides a period for several auspicious festivals.
The festivals in the month also includes Thiru Nakshatra Utsavams of holy sages and Acharya Purushas as well.
Most prominent among them are Tirumala Nambi Sattumora that was on November 14. Nambi was hailed as the maternal uncle of Sri Ramanujacharya and also an ardent devotee of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.
On November 16 the Sattumora of Sri Manavala Mahamuni of 15th century, a renowned Tamil Vedic scholar who propounded the Vishistadvaita philosophy of Sri Vaishnavism was observed.
Sri Athri Maharshi annual Thiru Nakshatrotsavam was observed at Tirumala on November 19.special festivals at Sri Kodandarama Swami temple in the month of December.
December 1: Sitarama kalyanam on Punarvasu nakshatram at 11am.
December 2,9,16,23,30: Abhisekam on all Saturdays at 6 am
December 12: Amavasya Sahasra Kalashabisekam in the morning and Hanumanta Vahanam in the evening.
December 26: On Pournami day – Astottara Kalashabisekam in the morning, Tiruchi procession in the evening followed by Asthanam.
