Is Pranab Mukherjee being drafted for the post of Prime Minister. Is he being pitted against Narendra Modi. It looks like Pranabda is going to be the candidate for the PMs post from the federal front or from the front which may not have congress and the BJP.
People say that this could be the reason that Pranab has agreed to be the chief Guest or a RSS function to he held in Nagpur. He wants to prove that he is nothing less than the PM Modi in oratory skills or for any other purpose.
There are rumours that in a meeting held with Naveen Patnaik, Sitaram Yechury and BJP leader Advani, it was decided that Pranab will be the right main to be projected against Modi for the 2019. It is not official but people who know about this meeting dont deny this.
Something is cooking behind the curtains, and soon Pranabda might come forward.
Even Mamatha didi is for the candidature of Pranabda.
A senior BJP minister who is tracking these developments with interest goes so far as to say that Mamata Banerjee’s recent overtures to the Telangana CM and TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao are also backed by Pranab Mukherjee.
“Whatever Mamatha is doing is on behalf of Pranab Mukherjee,” he said. “They are trying to create a front that will determine India’s future in the next five years. The idea is that one of them will be Prime Minister. Mostly it could be Pranab Babu.
Maya said that she would be the BSP President for next 20 years. She is ruled out. People may think that a president may not become a PM again. But there is nothing in constitution that can stop him from contesting again as an MP or becoming the PM.
