One is a Bharata Ratna and other is a legendary lady actor and both have put us to shame in the parliament in the name of Rajya Sabha members after taking huge pay packets that is public money.

While Sachin Tendulkar the cricketer has spent 23 days, superstar Rekha has spent just 18 days in the parliament. This for the 348 days since their nomination. They are two them out of the 12 nominated members.Rekha just comes for a day in that session and that is the end. This is from the year 2012.

They put the public to shame!

The master blaster took about Rs 60 lakh towards salary and other expenses while Rekha took 65 lakh for her salary and other expenses.

Why should the Government spent so much for them when they don’t attend the parliament and don’t talk for the sake of public in general. What is the use of appointing such VVIPs who are not useful to the public?

Samajwadi party member raised the issue against Rekha and Tendulkar that they don’t attend the sessions and it is a mere waste of public money. But on the day when Tendulkar tried to open his mouth, he was shouted down by the Congress members and even the Chairman Venkaiah Naidu could not convince them.

While Rekha never asked a question, Tendulkar was better by asking some questions now and then. When he was not allowed to talk he posted his speech on the facebook.

Both Rekha and Tendulkar never participated in any discussion while Mary Com the Boxer and the actor Suresh Gopi participated in many debates.

When it comes to MPLADS Tendulkar has spent about Rs 18 crore and Rekha managed to spend about Rs 8 crore for the development works.

They put the public to shame!

The Government takes pride in appointing such persons to the Rajya Sabha, but they don’t deserve it looks like. This kind of high profile persons must attend the Parliament argue for the sake of the welfare of the public and then finally get results.

They must also take maximum for the development of the constituencies that they identify in the process.
Just for the sake of publicity and namesake if they become RS members it is of no use to the Nation. The Government should not take pride in nominating such people who take the salary and do not perform.
