They are fed up

The hope of getting a nominated post is lost among the ruling party leaders and they are looking at the BJP now . Soon after the tour of the PM Modi several TRS leaders have come into contact with the local BJP leaders and are planning to meet Dr Laxman it is reported. Even some Muslims who are aspiring for some posts in TS are now looking at BJP. But the waiting for the  plum posts after the party came to power in Telangana State continues.

Scores of aspirants for MLC ,MLA and MP seats who were asked to wait for ‘good post’ later and those who have been asking for nominated posts were kept waiting. It is two and half years since the TRS party came to power in the State. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has promised that those who worked sincerely for the victory of party at every election would be rewarded  suitably with some prominent post. At the party annual meetings and at election meetings, he repeated the same.

These leaders are now quoting the example of the top leader Kodandaram and his plight. They are consoling themselves by saying that if Kodandaram is not getting anything how can they expect anything from the party even at this point of time.

Half of the term of the government is already over and even if they get something it could be for another two years only.”Some Ministers are also indirectly saying that if if the CM who decides everything and that they have little choice. They are unable to convince the local leaders in terms of the said nominated posts.

A  Minority  BC leader who never minced words  with the VIPs said that he had lost hope and that he is in search of alternative party. Those who joined much later and just before the last Assembly elections got posts but those who were with the party during the peak of the movement were sidelined.

“We get assurances that we will be honoured with nominated posts. But when? We are clueless still,”  the minority intellectual  lamented. He said that some of them who have been honoured belonged to other parties and just joined the TRS for plum posts. They will also go out of TRS, if they get some other big posts in other parties he said.

There were atleast half a dozen party activists who aspired for the Assembly ticket and an equal number for the MP seats.

However, the party leadership succeeded in striking a balance avoiding dissidence within the party.

Party activists heading students unions, employees, party internal cadre and frontal organizations were all desperately waiting for the nominated posts.

“Even if party leadership gives us post at Dasara festival, there is not much term left for us to enjoy the posts as last year of the term is spent in planning for next election,” a leader said.
