Tejashwi Yadav the son of Lalu Prasad Yadav met Mayawati and congratulated her on the alliance with Akhilesh. The BJP will not be there and it will be a whitewash he said. The BJP will not get a single seat he opined. Lalu wanted SP and BSP to come together and that is what has happened. He exuded confidence that the BJP will not get a single seat, the SP and BS combine would get the majority of the seats. While Laloo and Tejaswhwi are happy with the things in UP, there are leaders who said that the Congress also should have joined the SP -BSP combine.
The surveys also indicated that the Congress, SP and BSP together will get more number of seats. But Maya and Akhilesh have decided that they will not take the Congress into the fold. They have left two seats for Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Maya and Akhilesh are contesting 38 seats each.On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi announced that the Congress would contest all the 80 seats here in UP. This is nothing but advantage BJP. The votes will get divided between the opposition and the BJP will sail through. The Opposition is clearly on the back foot with the latest strategy of Akhilesh and Mayawati.
