The GHMC has given the phone number to arrest the dog menace, but there is no proper response. The dog squads are yet to take action in sme areas.
It could be due to lack of proper staff and vehicles. Almost all the posh and slum areas have a dog problem. Stray dogs are in all the areas of Hyderabad and they are a real problem for commuters.
Mayor Gadwla Vijayalaxmi who stated that the dogs were hungry, was no seen feeding her dog at home in her eating plate. RGC chided at the Mayor saying that all the 5000 dogs should be kept in the house of the Mayor and the doors should be closed.
This is a controversial comment made by RGV the cinema director after a long time. The Mayor must think before she makes any statement. She is inviting further controversy by making statements and posting videos.
It is better for her to keep quite for some time and concentrate on resolving the issue. She must watch on the field staff who are catching the dogs.
If there is no proper response to the number given it will be of no use. They must hire some vehicles and see that the stray dogs are caught and taken away.
The sterilization also must take place on a war footing basis. KTR the Minister must also monitor as what really is happening in the department and GHMC, when it comes to the dog menace.
The local MLAs must also monitor the situation and talk to the people about the matter.
