Now the talk of the town is about TDP aligning with the Congress in the near future. Senior Congress Leader S Jaipal Reddy left everyone dumb struck by proposing an alliance between TDP and Congress Party in 2019 General Elections.
But the political analysts say that Jaipal Reddy is doing this to benefit his relative Revanth Reddy in the next elections in the name of trouncing the TRS. This is just like a safety net to Revanth so that the TDP can win some seats against the TRS and remain in politics.
At the same time the TRS will field a good candidate so that Revanth should not win the next election and that he can be avoided from the Assembly.
But Harish Rao the senior Minister in TRS opined that this will be very good for them as people will not endorse unholy alliances of this kind as TDP was born and existed against the congress. The TDP founder Senior NTR who is dead will not like this alliance and he will not be happy with this. In fact now it is the birthday of NTR and Mahanadu is being celebrated. It is unfortunate that TDP wants to join hand with the Congress the synonym for Corruption as being chided by the BJP.
Jaipal expressed the opinion that TDP-Congress need to work together to ensure neither TRS nor BJP comes to power in Telangana. He wanted all like-minded parties to unite and defeat ruling TRS and BJP,’ he said.
Even Congress Leaders were clue less why Jaipal Reddy is keen about alliance with TDP which is alliance partner of NDA. Congress MLCs disapproved Jaipal Reddy’s comments and opined that such unacceptable proposals will weaken the party.
Can TDP & Congress work together any day? Why because, NTR floated TDP only to end the Congress rule in the state. Even the TDP Leaders kept treating Congress as an arch-rival all the years. But Revanth in an interview to a TV Channel said that he was for joining hands with all the parties who are against the TRS and also KCR in particular.
Meanwhile all the political parties are gearing up for the polls. Some of them think that the polls will be in 2018.
