Apte was born on 7th September 1985 in Pune, Maharashtra. She is an Economics graduate from Fergusson College. She started her filmi career by Bollywood movie Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! in 2005 and as lead actress she appeared in the 2009 Bengali movie Antaheen.
