The election would be tough this time in Rajendranagar constituency. The former Home Minister Sabitha Indrareddy, called as Chevella Chellamma could be the candidate. If not Sabitha it will be her son Karthik Reddy. They have a goodwill in the area and they would give a tough fight to the TRS candidate Prakash Goud who is a sitting MLA and has migrated from TDP to TRS in the recent times.
Prakash also has good clout locally, but it is no match to the Congress leader Sabitha. Her son may not be a heavyweight and lacks experience. But if Kavitha comes into the picture it would not be easy for the TRS candidate.
KTR the Minister for Municipal administration has done a lot of development here and has also campaigned twice. Rajendra Nagar also has Muslim population, but there is a chance that the MIM might contest here. The Muslim vote could become the deciding factor here. Some of the Muslim votes might go to the Congress also. Some might come to the TRS and the rest will naturally go to the MIM.
On the other hand, the relatives of Sabitha are in Rajendranagar area and that makes all the difference to Mahakootami candidate, Mostly Karthik could be the Mahakootami candidate here.
The fight will be between Karthik Reddy and Prakash Goud. The going will be tough for Prakash Goud, but the development works done by the TRS will finally bail him out with a slender margin it looks like. Who knows Karthik might turn the tables on TRS.
