There is a lot of hungama in the TRS and with the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for Rajya Sabha seats. While the seats are more or less decided, pyravikars are making all-out efforts to get one.
Speculations are rife that the TRS general-secretary Joginapally Santosh Kumar, a close relative of KCR has a bright chance.
Santosh Kumar has a good track record and is a non-controversial person popular with the media. He has been in the thick and thin with KCR right from the agitation days.
Karimnagar zilla parishad chairperson Tula Uma, Meat and Poultry Corporation chairman S. Rajaiah Yadav and former CPM leader and TRS unsuccessful candidate from Nagarjunasagar Assembly Nomula Narasimhaiah Yadav appear to be the contenders for one seat.
With regard to other seats, talks are that it might go to a minority leader or a BC leader.
