The harvesting of the complete produce on 39 Lakh acres with sufficient numbers of 14000 harvesters available can be achieved by their optimum usage and involving minimum human labour during the current situation of social distancing comfortably.
1,To arrive at the actual number of Harvestors available in the state unit wise lists were obtained from the districts. It is reported that :
2. 14095 nos of Harvestors are owned in the State itself.
3.753 Nos of Harvestors from other states mainly Tamilnadu are already positioned in Telangana state mainly in Suryapet , Kamareddy ,Khammam and other districts where paddy is the major crop.
4.In total 14848 Nos of Harvestors are already readily available in the State14000 Nos of Harvestors availability indicates a comfortable position to ensure harvesting of the 39 Lakh acreas spread over a period of 50-60 days in view of the staggered sowings as per the availability of water/ release of water under canals.
5.A letter has been addressed to all the major companies reuesting their cooperation for immediate servicing and supply of spare parts in case of breakdowns.It is also requested to set up 24×7 cal centres.
6.It is requested to provide one contact person and name for servicing and spare parts supply for each district for drawing immediate attention.
7.All the companies have been reested to set up mobile servicing centres with technical persons to attend the brerakdowns and servicing immediately.
8.Required passes are being arranges to all the technicians , skilled labours , drivers and other staff involved in the harvesting operations for movement within the districts and also inter district movement .
8.Permission to the spare parts and servicing centres have been given allowing them to open during the lock down period.
9.Any machines and spare parts cargos movement if any stopped from reaching the state is also being coordinated at state level to get required clearances.
10. Teleconference has been organized with major companies representatives to ascertain issues if any and ensuring their cooperation and coordination .
