But deciding and naming the PM candidate for the election is also important. One cannot fight an election without giving a name for the combined opposition.
When Rahul Gandhi’s name was announced, Lalu’s son Tejeswai talked about Chandrababu and KCR also as the probable candidates for the PMs post. One way to stop KCR from working for an alternative front avoiding Congress is winning him over by naming him as the PM candidate.

Chandrababu might agree to take up the post, but KCR is still wedded to the development of Telangana. There is a chance that KCR might for early polls and then look at Delhi.
