There should be a constructive opposition in the parliament opined Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The opposition must forget about the numbers and give all the suggestions he said. He was speaking to the media today after the swearing in of the protem speaker. The discussion must take place on various issues and the opposition must participate and discuss in a big way.
The talks must be fruitful and that we must spend the time for the welfare of the people he suggested. The new members must come forward and participate in the discussion he said.
The discussion should be meaningful and constructive and not for the TRP he suggested. For better governance for the next 5 years, the role of the opposition should be constructive he suggested. We must all work together for fulfilling the aspiration of the people Modi stated.
Earlier Modi participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the Protem speaker by President Ramnath Kovind. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu was also present on the occasion along with the President.
The protem speaker will administer the oath of the new members of the parliament. The oathtaking will continue for two days. This is the budget session for 2019 and is the 17th Loksabha in session. The budget is on July 5. The economic survey will be presented July 4th by the new Minister for finance Nirmala Seetharaman.
