The Mahagathbandahan which was supposed to take on the BJP in the coming Assembly elections has ditched the Congress party. Mayavathi and Akhilesh babu have thought it fit to go on their own and even the communists are planning to go all alone to contest the Assembly polls. In three states there is no grand alliance and it is advantage BJP for the time being. If this continues the Congres will be left all alone in the coming 2019 polls.

The BSP and the SP have ditched the Congress and are going all alone. Talking about the alliance the top leaders of the SP an BSP opined that one must not go for alliances blindly and make the moves keeping the local conditions in mind. They opined that forming of the grand alliance in the 2019 elections will depend on the existing circumstances at that point in time.

Mahagathbandhan

It is the same situation in Telangana also. Here the Congress is planning to contest the majority of the seats and all other parties are given the rest of the remaining seats. So far no Mahakutami is existing as proposed and Kodandaram of TJS has walked out. He was offered just 3 seats. There are disgruntled elements in all the parties and the BJP is trying to woo them. The Communists are fighting against each other in Telangana.

If this condition continues then the political parties may not be in a position to form a front against the NDA at the centre in the near future. It looks like Akhilesh and Mayawathi have thought that it would of no use to join the Congress.
