The BJP is trying Khichidi politics with Dalits today at Ramleela Maidan in Delhi. The party is organising a Dalit rally here in Delhi where they would cook tonnes of Khichdi with rice and dal collected from the people. The party workers will be cooking over 3000 KG of Khichdi and it is going to be a world record.The material to cook the food is being collected from across 3 lakh houses. This would be an indirect publicity for the party where they would meed meet people from the Dalit community. The current record for Khichdi is about 920 Kgs and the party is cooking about 3000 Kg at a time. They have touched about 2 lakh households and would touch another one lakh household in the near future.
Amit Shah is scheduled to address the rally and it is clearly appeasement of the Dalit community. Amit Shah along with some Ministers and legislators will share the food with the Dalits here at the historic Ramleela Maidan. The BJP after losing the three states is again trying to appease the minorities, Dalits and especially the Muslims to garner their support for the coming parliament elections. They would not leave anything to chance. The opposition has already started dividing themselves from UP. The CMs of the Telugu states are also forming two groups at the national level. This will be an advantage to the BJP.
