The Municipal Elections hungama has begun in Telangana. Party workers are going around on vehicles campaigning for their candidates. The TRS and the Congress flags are seen across the constituencies.
Youth are going around the constituencies on the two-wheelers till late in the evening with big flags and band Baja. In some places, the Municipal election has become more prestigious when compared to the MLA election.
The poaching has already started. The leaders are jumping into Congress and TRS vice versa to get the Mayoral post. Yesterday two big leaders have shifted to Congress and TRS.
Revanth Reddy and the Congress leader and Harish Rao the TRS leaders were instrumental in attracting the leaders from the opposite party .In some places, there are 5 candidates from one ward of the same party.
All put together 5207 nominations have been filed in Rangareddy and Medchal districts. One could see people running to the local offices for filing nominations on the last day.
Right now the TRS and the Congress are the main contenders for the posts and BJP is yet to make a mark.
