Telangana brought in new Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019, which envisages adopting e-governance systems for citizen services on anytime, anywhere basis for better, speedy, accountable and transparent administration.
1. The department has implemented the following key e-initiatives:-
2.Self-assessment of property tax is introduced during 2019 and as on date, citizens of 1,78,536 properties availed the facility and got self assessed their property tax by April, 2023.
3. Auto-mutation of properties has introduced during 2021 and issued instant auto-mutation for 5,60,471 properties by April, 2023.
4. Govt introduced on 08.3.2022 instant assessment of property tax at the time of registration itself at SRO (Feb, 2022) and as on date 2,87,329 no. of property owners got instant assessment of property tax.
5. Govt introduced on 15.03.2022 Instant assessment of property tax at the time of building permission at TSbPASS. As on date 1,20,631 no. of property owners got instant assessment of property tax.
6. Govt introduced during 2022 Instant registration and issue certificates of birth and death events. As on date, 1,11,696 no. of birth certificates and 10,695 no. of death certificates have been issued.
