Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakhsmi stated that the dogs who killed the kid were Hungry as they did not get the food. She told the media that the dogs who killed the kid were sterilized and that they were caught by the dog squads.
Vijaylaxmi said that they cannot stop feeding to the stray dogs. She said that the dogs will be adopted by dog lovers in a phased manner. The GHMC will create a park kind of atmosphere for taking care of the stray dogs and all the dogs in the city will be sterilised.
The dog lovers will be motivated to take care of the dog’s she said. She did not announce any help to the family members of the boy who was killed by the stray dogs.
So far the Minister for Municipal administration KTR did not react to the incident. He was supposed to tweet over the issue. The GHMC must see to it that stray dogs are taken away from the bastis and slums.
There is no proper staff for checking the dogs on the streets. GHMC must take the numbers of the community associations and know about the dog issues in the localities.
The stray dogs should be reduced to the extent possible. It looks like the Mayor has not taken the issue seriously where a kind was killed by the dogs.
She said that the dogs were sterilized and they must be hungry. This is not the right way.
