The stray dogs issue still continues in the city of Hyderabad. Even the posh areas have around a dozen of dogs in the gullies. The so-called Telephone number given by the GHMC takes complaints but there is no action taken.
There is no response. When we ask for the status, they say that there are no vehicles or staff. The dogs continue barking day and night. The committee submitted the report to city mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi who said some measures were already being taken up at the field level.
Vijayalakshmi directed officials to take joint measures for the control of stray dogs by the veterinary, health and sanitation departments. The joint commissioner was tasked with appointing a sanitation jawan to remove garbage from hotels, restaurants and function halls.
The mayor ordered the officials to arrange 60 vehicles, two per circle, to catch strays. She said that the government has taken all measures to conduct anti-birth control operations in the municipalities.
Now we have to see when will the real action begin in the city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The old places like outskirts of the city have this dogs issue in all the streets.
The GHMC first take the dogs away on war footing basis so that the residents have some kind of relief.
