In collaboration with SCSC (Society for Cyberabad Security Council) and the “DiLSeY’ (Digital Literacy to Secure Youth) Team – Cyber volunteers of Cyberabad Commissionerate, the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, under the guidance of Commissioner of Police, Cyberaba Avinash Mohanty, IPS., organized an enlightening session covering various aspects of cybersecurity and digital well-being. The session, held at Kanha Heartful Learning Centre, Kanha Shanthi Vanam, Chegur, Shamshabad, was specifically designed for 6th to 10th standard students.

– Safeguarding digital footprints: Understanding the importance of managing one’s online presence and protecting personal information.
– Basics of cybercrimes and online gaming: Educating students about common cyber threats and safe practices while engaging in online activities, including gaming.
– Impact of social media on children: Exploring the positive and negative effects of social media usage on young individuals and strategies for responsible online behavior.
– Smartphone addiction detox: Addressing the issue of excessive smartphone usage and providing tips for maintaining a healthy digital lifestyle.
– Cybercrime reporting procedure: Informing students about the necessary steps to take in case they encounter or become victims of cybercrimes, including reporting procedures through calling 1930 or the cybercrime.gov.in portal and seeking assistance from law enforcement. The session aimed to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. By raising awareness about cybersecurity and digital well-being, the initiative seeks to foster a safer online environment for young individuals.
