Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana are likely to be lashed by extremely heavy rains in the coming days, while heavy rainfall will drench the remaining regions for the next 4-5 days.

Water is overflowing on the streets of Hyderabad. Osman Sagar, Hussain Sagar and Himaya sagar are full up to the FTL. The nalas are overflowing.

The rest of the state will be engulfed by widespread rains that will continue to bring moisture over the region till Friday.

These conditions have prompted the IMD to put Telangana on a red alert and orange alert in some areas. However, Hyderabad only remains on a yellow watch.

Many of these districts have already felt the brunt of the heavy rains, with waterlogging and flash floods becoming a fairly common occurrence over the past 2-3 days.

Despite the absence of any significant alerts over Hyderabad, the city witnessed flooding of several roads that led to widespread traffic disruptions as well.

Telangana CM KCR is watching and monitoring the flood situation while KTR the Municipal Minister is looking into the situation of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Secunderabad.
