BioMe’ 23,an International Conference with the theme Advances in Biology and Medicine is being jointly organized by Higher Education Wing of TSWREIS & TTWREIS Gurkulam at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Chegur Village, Kothur Mandal from 21-23 February, 2023.It is organized in association with Telangana Life Sciences, Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) Academy and Heartfulness Education Trust of Kanha Shanti Vanam.
14 speakers from National and International Premier Universities and Research institutions are going to address 750 delegates including faculty; researchers and students on latest advances in the field of Biosciences and pharmacy.
On the Day 2 of 3-Dday International conference Advances in biology and Medicine BioMe 23. 7 speakers spoke on various topics related to their research in the field of biology and medicine.
The session opened with an interactive session of invited speakers with the delegates.
The Plenary session was conducted by Prof. Frederick Willaim, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals, University of Toledo, USA. Prof. Frederick spoke on Modelling Zebrafish as a research tool to find genetic basis for human diseases and cure, as Zebra fish shares 70% homologous genes with humans, hence are perfect model for study and research as Lab Mice. His study currently focuses on Cancer therapeutics.
Dr.Ritu Chakravarti, Department of Physiology & Pharmacology, University of Toledo, USA has introduced to delegates a vaccine developed for treating Inflammatory Arthritis- Zetavac. She quoted that a key protein 14-3-3-zeta is responsible for major physiological changes in human body.
Another interesting session was by Dr. Jayarampuaram of Auburn University, spoke about 3D printed medicines and medical devices- a promising innovation which would help in customized treatments and effective drug delivery.
Prf.Pia.D.Vogel, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, USA presented her work on Multi drug resistance via ABC transporters in treatment of cancers.
Dr.Ranga Reddy Buuri, Director, Infection Control Academy of India, Hyderabad and Honorary Professor at University of Hyderabad spoke about One Health concept proposed by G20 focusing on facing future Pandemics sustainable methods of predicting and preventing them and to work on therapeutics; diagnostics and vaccines to counter them.
The day long session also had poster presentations on the BioMe23 theme.
