Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and MP Santosh Kumar have always been at the forefront to make Telangana clean and green. Haritha Haram was the program taken up by the TRS Government under the guidance of KCR and forests have been recreated in Telangana.
It is very difficult to recreate an entire forest area with greenery. At the same time, TRS MP founded Green India Challenge-GIC where crores of saplings have been planted by his followers and friends.
So far no one bothered to plant saplings and trees in such a fashion. Now Hyderabad got the recognition for the second time for having a large number of trees.
This is a big thing for Telangana when it comes to reducing global warming. Many celebrities from Tollywood and Bollywood have participated in the GIC and posted the same giving inspiration to others.
PM Modi also appreciated the way GIC is inspiring the people to improve the greenery in the state and other states. Lawmakers also planted saplings in the vicinity of the parliament.
Crores of saplings have been planted under the GIC program. Many organisations have recognised the work being done by MP Santosh Kumar.
