The state Intelligence has alerted Telangana to remain alert after the Friday Prayers in Hyderabad and surrounding areas.
The security has been beefed up and there is a vigil in around Macca masjid to avoid any untoward incidents. There is a chance that the youth might agitate after the Friday protests protesting against the BJP MLA Raja Singh for posting a video against Prophet Mohammed.
Tension continues in the city following the derogatory comments of suspended BJP legislator T Raja Singh against Prophet Mohammed and his subsequent release on bail.
Groups of Muslim youngsters continued their protest in the city. Reports of protest came in from Amberpet, Tallabkatta, Charminar, Moghalpura, Khilwat, Bahadurpura and Chanchalguda.
The surroundings of Charminar continued to witness the maximum late-night protest. The police bundobust was beefed up and additional policemen were deployed at the monument.
The police closed down the Puranapul Bridge and Moosarambagh bridge as a precautionary measure.
Police intensified patrolling in all areas of the city. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reviewed the law and order situation in the city of Hyderabad and the RR district.
He advised the Police not to spare the communal and unsocial who disturb the law and order.
