The mega religious fete in the auspicious month of Karthika, the Karthika Deepotsavam organised by TTD for the third consecutive year under the aegis of All Dharmic Projects, stood as a stupendo fantabulous phantasmagorically magical hit on Monday evening.
The TTD Parade Grounds in Tirupati, donned a glitterati look under the shine of thousands of ghee lit lamps on the auspicious occasion of Karthika Deepam on first Monday of Karthika month.
Speaking on the occasion, Kurtalam Peethadhipati Sri Siddheswarananda Bharati Theertha Swamy while complimenting TTD for organizing such a massive spiritual program said, Karthika month signifies the importance of Pujas for both the super power deities of Shiva and Keshava.
TTD Chairman Sri Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said the chief motto of the program is to get rid of the egos within ourselves by lighting the lamp of wisdom. He said since 2021 TTD has been conducting this unique fete for the benefit of devotees. He also said Govinda Koti, Srinivasa Divyanugraha Puja are also being taken up to imbibe the essence of Hindu sanatana dharma among the devotees.
Later series of rituals like Vishwaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachanam, Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam, Lakshmi Puja, dance ballet by students of SV college of Music and Dance on Shiva-Keshava Vaibhavam enthralled the audience followed by Govinda Namas and Kumbha Harati.
The devotees lit ghee lamps arranged in front of them chanting the relevant mantras as recited by Vedic pundits. Dr Ramanujacharyulu of Dharmagiri Veda Pathashala explained the significance of each program. It was a visual spectacle to watch all the lamps which appeared as a glittering carpet.
