It looks like the BJP leaders and Modi the PM have targetted the Telugu leaders in a strategic manner so that they would not become a hurdle to them in the near future.
First, it was Venkaiah from AP who was sidelined by Modi by making him the Vice President of the country so that he will not be in the BJP and will not play the active politics as he was doing earlier. PM and his men thought Venkaiah was a PM material from the South.
Second, it is the TDP leaders that they have looked at.Keeping the dynamic attitude of Chandrababu Naidu in mind they have said no to the special status for which was promised earlier.
They knew that the TDP would be forced to go away from the NDA in the process and that Babu will become inactive in the process. They believe that both Babu and Venkiah were hand in glove for the future.
The third could be KCR as he has openly floated the idea of the third front without BJP and Congress. Nothing is being extended to AP and also Telangana in the recent times.
There could be a time where TRS may not support the NDA at the centre. TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy openly stated that the PM Modi was jealous of Chandrababu and his dynamic culture.
There is every opportunity that Babu might join the team of KCR in the name of the anti BJP-Congress front.
Babu tried to contact the PM, but he could not get him. The OSD to Modi said no to OSD of Babu it is learnt. Time will decide the future.
