The KCR Government is gearing up to stop the proposed irrigation project which has become a major controversy. The AP Government has early issued the GO for the project claiming i as their right.
The officials from AP state that they are using the water allocated to them from the proposed project. Minister for Finance from Telangana who was earlier the Minister for Irrigation claimed that the AP did not bother to consult them and was trying to do the project works on a unilateral basis.
It was the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who suggest various ways and means to the AP Chief Minister Jagan for sharing he waters. But now the proposed Pothiredy project issue is brewing into a major controversy.
Both states are making allegations against death and others. But the meeting between the Chief Ministers could resolve the issue easily. But right ow the states are busy in tackling the issue of Corona.
Itt was not the right time for the AP to issue such a GO when the country was reeling under the lockdown.
