The recommendation by the Telangana lawmakers and officials is just ignored and brushed aside by the Officials of the TTD. There are instances where they asked the pilgrims as to who is Kavitha and who is Harish Rao?
Knowingly fully well they behave in such a fashion. It is better if the Telangana Government can appoint a PRO from the Telangana side to take care of such issues.
Sanga Reddy MLA and TPCC working president Jagga Reddy found fault with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Joint Executive Officer in Tirumala for turning down the recommendation letters issued by elected public representatives from Telangana.
“It is unfortunate politics are being resorted even at religious places,” said Jagga Reddy while addressing media persons here on Saturday. He wanted Chief Ministers of two Telugu States to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
There is a talk that TTD is being commercialised from time to time and it is being used as a revenue generator. Now the tonsure of heads and the sale of Laddu and other prasadams has been given to the private agencies.
The decision has been taken by the so called specified authority under Jawahar Reddy. In the name of Corona the free laddu and the free food is also being not given by the TTD.
It is better that the Specified authority and the new board members who will take charge, will reduce the commercialisation on the TTD and pave way for darshan to the common man.
