Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been rated the most popular CM in the country, according to a survey by the VDP associates. According to the latest survey, KCR stood at number one place with 87 per cent. He got 85 per cent last year.
This time, his popularity has gone up by 2 per cent for the developmental activities that he had taken up in the state.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s popularity had come down from number five position last year to number eight this time. Naidu’s popularity is 58 per cent.
MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan stood at number 2 position.
Earlier Chandrasekhar Rao has been voted as the best CM in the country in the survey ordered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to gauge the performance of Chief Ministers in the country.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stood at the 13th position in the national level survey that caused a political buzz in the two Telugu states.
The AP government claimed that Chandrababu had ranked fifth and not 13th while the Telangana government sources reveal that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was placed fifth.
The survey was taken up in all states and Union Territories between April and June this year and submitted to the Prime Minister recently. Telangana state sources informed that the schemes implemented by KCR such as Mission Kakatiya, Haritha Haram, Mission Bhagiratha, etc has helped him grab the position of No. 1 CM in the country.
Also, it is learnt that that the Prime Minister and several Union ministers had praised Mission Bhagiratha on several occasions as the scheme aims to supply tap water to every household in Telangana by laying 1.25 lakh km pipelines by 2018, Mission Kakatiya – aims to restore 45,000-odd lakes in five years, and plantation of 230 crore saplings in five years.
The three welfare schemes of TS government stood out among all other schemes which are being implemented in the rest of the country..
