The Telangana Cabinet is all set to meet this evening under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here at Pragathi Bahavan. The main agenda would be to discuss the interim budget being proposed for 2019-20.
As predicted agriculture, farmer and the welfare of the poor would be high on the agenda. Irrigation and drinking water will get all the priority. Implementation of Mission Kakatiya and Bageeradha will get good allocations in the budget.
The budget is said to be about Rs 2 lakh crore. KCR the Chief Minister will also explain the Minister about the functioning of the Government on day to day basis and also about the welfare agenda.
Like the central budget, the state will also term this as an interim budget, but it will have all the allocations in detail. In this budget, some departments are regrouped so that there would be no duplication of work.
The idea is to see that the common man should not run from pillar to post in different directions for getting the work done.
The budget will be presented by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao it is reported. May be subject to correction this could be the first time that the Chief Minister of a state is presenting the budget.
