Minister for Finance and Health Harish Rao will present the State budget for the financial year of 2023-24 in the State Assembly on Monday. The discussion on the budget and demands will be taken up commencing from February 8.

The next day of the budget will be a Holiday. Harish Rao visited the Sri Venkateshwara Temple in Jubilee hills and performed a special Pooja with the Budget papers.
He took the blessings of the Veda pandits and then reached the assembly one hour ahead before the budget presentation. He will start the budget presentation at 10.30 . The Budget was approved by the cabinet and also Governor Tamilisai.
The Budget is going to be around three lakh crore it is reported.
Harish said that it will be a people-oriented budget and for the welfare of well being of the common man in general. Before going for the Budget presentation Harish will take the blessing of the CM KCR in his chambers.
There is a talk that KCR has suggested for major allocations to the welfare measures in the state. There will be an allocation for the proposed New metro line to the airport.
