The State Government will be selling branded mutton soon according to the Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav. In a meeting with the department officials the Minister has discussed the matter and suggested them that the Government must sell branded mutton with good quality soon.
The officials also brought to the notice of the Minister that the population of the Goats, sheep and also fish has raised very much in the state of Telangana.
The Government has succeeded in increasing the population of sheep and goat so that the import of the animals from other states will come down and the revenue comes to the state of Telangana only.
Srinivas yadav said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister KCR , the goats rearing and sheep rearing has been done and now there is enough animal population for the supply of meet here in Telangana.
Srinivas expressed his happiness that the Government was providing funds for the development of this department and it was being done in a big way across the state.
The sheep and goat rearers are being made self reliant he said.
