Varanasi has been known for a while due to the turmeric farmers protest who have been worried about setting up a special board for the support of turmeric farmers. The Armoor farmers came to Varanasi to contest against Modi. But The farmers’ nominations got rejected, Only one nomination was accepted.
Farmers decided to file a complaint to the Central Election Commission on the rejection of nominations. Telangana and Tamil Nadu farmers arrived in Delhi.
All 119 nominations have been filed in Varanasi while the authorities rejected 89 nominations for various reasons. At present, 30 candidates, including Modi are in the race.
