Government of Telangana has signed a memorandum of agreement with French Aero campus Aquitaine on 27th Jan 2017 at Hyderabad.
The scope of this partnership is to create a world-class aero skills academy in collaboration with academia and industry based in Hyderabad. The project deliverables include identifying skill gaps, designing courses and enabling EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) and DGCA (Directorate general of Civil Aviation) certifications for the academy and its courses.
This partnership focuses on developing skills across youth as well as experienced professionals in tune with the latest industry trends. The new academy will offer specialised aeronautical courses in engineering, manufacturing and maintenance domains. The academy shall offer long duration basic training programmes for young students and vocational training and short duration courses tailor-made to industry requirements for experienced technicians.
The MOU was signed between Mr Jerome Verschave – General Manager, Aero Campus and MrJayeshRanjan IAS, Secretary ITE&C, in presence of Advisor to Government, Mr Papa Rao M/s Florence Forzy –Raffard- Councillor for International Economic Affairs, Bordeaux, Mr E Venkata Narasima Reddy, VC&MD TSIIC and other dignitaries from DGCA, AAI, Aerospace Industry, Aeronautical Society of India, IIT Hyderabad and Government.
Speaking on the occasion, MrJayesh Ranjan said that the aero skill academy will help in attracting large scale investments in Aerospace sector. Mr Jerome Verchave mentioned that Aero campus is very excited to begin this new campus in India. Mr Papa Rao said that the association with Aero campus isunder the framework agreement signed earlier between Government of Telangana and Bordeaux Metropole.
