TATA Foundation has come forward with Rs.120 crores to take up the Museum which houses over 4000 artefacts. Tatas have been at the forefront doing a lot of charity in many ways.

Similarly, the Reliance Group has agreed to take up the modernisation and automation of Laddus making at Rs.50 crores. Along with the Darshan of the Lord Balaji, the Laddu prasadam plays the key role. People will not return from TTD without getting the laddu Prasadam.

These days we can get the laddus over the counter and it is also big business for the TTD. The laddu rate was raised from Rs25 to Rs 50.

This will enhance the quality and quantity of Laddus. Both these two projects will be completed in a year’s time.

The accommodation in Tirumala is 90% renovated and the remaining works will also be completed in a few month’s time.

“Nearly 230 crores are being spent which includes renovation of the cottages for common pilgrims at R.130cr while another Pilgrims Amenities Complex is also coming up at Rs.100cr in Tirumala.

Besides, the cottages meant for pilgrims which are allotted to various TTD, Vigilance, Police and other departments were vacated in the last 3 years.

Among 800 odd cottages which were allotted under transit accommodation, over 500 are vacated and only a few are remaining which will also be completed soon.
