Tammineni Sitharam is all set to become the Speaker of the AP Legislative Assembly. Tammineni met the chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here at the Camp office.
Tammineni won against his rival TDP MLA with a margin of about 13000 votes in the recent elections. Tammineni worked as a Municipal Minister in the TDP regime and later he joined the YSRC under Jagan.
Tammineni belongs to BC community. Tammineni was first elected in 1983 as an MLA and he got elected to the Assembly for 6 times. Taking all this into account Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to appoint Tammineni as the speaker it is reported.
However, an official confirmation is awaited from both sides. Earlier there were rumours that Roja the MLA could be appointed as the Speaker. But now the latest is that Tammineni has been finalised for the post.
