I extend my warmest greetings to all on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga-2022, which will be observed worldwide on June 21.
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi Ji said, “yoga embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.”
I thank our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi ji, for his relentless efforts, June 21 was declared as the International Yoga Day by the United Nations General Assembly.
Yoga is an integral part of our rich ancient Indian heritage. Yoga has immense potential for enhancing the physical, psychological, and emotional wellbeing of its practitioners.
Yoga helps in achieving the balance of mind, body, and soul. Yoga practised on a regular basis helps in the perfect union of body and mind and contributes positively to the practitioners’ physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
In present days, there is a need to develop better immunity to fight infections so as to keep ourselves healthy. This immunity can be easily achieved by the regular practise of yoga and helps in the fight against infections.
The theme for the International Day of Yoga-2022 is “Yoga for Humanity.” This theme aims to activate and inspire the yoga community for sustainability and global development.
I once again extend my best wishes on this happy occasion of the International Day of Yoga.
