Will the CM KCR patch up with Governor Tamilisai? Will he attend the Ugadi the Telugu new year celebrations at Rajbahvan has to be seen.
The TRS Government earlier avoided Governor Tamilisai for the Budget speech which is customary. Quoting the rules, Minister for Finance Harish said that it was not required.
Harish said that it was like a continuation of the earlier session and there was no need for the Governors speech. KCR’s relations with Governor Tamilisai worsened after she rejected the government’s recommendation of Kaushik Reddy for the MLC under the social service quota.
On Republic Day, KCR chose not to visit the Raj Bhavan. Later, the state government did not make the protocol arrangements for the Governor’s visit to the Medaram Jatara.
KCR’s decision to do away with the customary address of the Governor to the joint house.
Given all this, a big question mark hangs over whether KCR will accept the invitation to the Ugadi festivities or not. Governor Tamilisai said that she wants to turn a new leaf on Ugadi Day and wants to let bygones be bygones.
However, it remains to be seen how KCR responds to the demand.
