Tamilisai launches numaish 22

Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has called upon the people to visit the All India Industrial Exhibition, which she had formally opened at the Exhibition Grounds, here, on Saturday, and support the entrepreneurs from across the country.

“Hundreds of small and medium entrepreneurs from different parts of the country set up their stalls here and it offers a unique platform for them to present their products at one place,” she said.

Inaugurating the 81st All India Industrial Exhibition, she said that this particular exhibition, which is known as the Numaish, is very popular in the country and attracts lakhs of visitors from the State and other parts of the country.

“One will get a wide variety of products of different kinds from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari at one place at this exhibition and it offers a memorable experience to the visitors,” she added.

The Governor also appreciated the efforts of the Exhibition Society’s in supporting 18 educational institutions in the State through the revenue generated from the exhibition.

She lauded the initiative and stated that by helping around 30,000 students to get affordable and quality education by the exhibition society, the exhibition society is furthering the cause of higher education.

The Governor also cautioned the visitors and the shopkeepers to adhere to the COVID-appropriate behavior and help contain the spread of the pandemic.

Home Minister Mohammad Mehamood Ali and Exhibition Society representatives were among those who spoke at the event.
