Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today lauded Sindhu for her achievement at Olympics. He said that next time silver Sindhu must turn into Swarna Sindhu. He complimented Gopichand for his outstanding coaching. He was attending a meet at the Pushkara Ghat at Vijayawada where the rail minister Suresh Prabhu was also present.
While complimenting the arrangements for Pushkarams he opined that the Harathi will stay in the history of AP. He said that Sindhu is the pride of India and also the Telugu people.
Suresh Prabhu , the rail minister said that 125 crore people were praying for the success of Hindu. He complimented Sindhu saying that a Telugu girl made India proud. He also said that her parents work for railways. He said that it is a beginning for Sindhu and she must get more medals for India in the coming days.
Sindhu while thanking the Government said that she was very happy to see such a big crowd. She considered her as fortunate to be here. Sindhu dressed in a half saree as per the Telugu tradition attend the function. Coach Gopichand said that he would live up to the expectations of the people.
